New Feature: Drip Campaign Optimization [Open Beta] – UPDATED

[UPDATE 1: 2017-03-27 | Open Beta Released!]

The Open Beta of our Drip Campaign Optimization feature is released!

The Drip Campaign Optimization feature will let you setup A/B/N versions of emails in your drip campaigns. Mizy (our algorithm) will learn which are the better performing variations automatically, without any need of manual intervention.

It not only optimizes the sending weights of emails separately but will send the best performing email variations chain!

GUIDE FOR CLOSED BETA TESTERS

In case you are our Awesome Beta Tester, please follow the steps below to be able to test the feature:

STEP 1: Build a drip campaign

1. Firstly create a Contact Tag:
1.1. Go to Contacts/Complete list
1.2. Click on “Add new contact”
1.3. Write an email address
1.4. Write a Contact Tag (e.g. Test)
1.5. Hit “Save and Exit”

2. Set up a Tag trigger in a new drip campaign:
2.1. Go to Automation/Workflows
2.2. Click on New workflow
2.3. Set a name (e.g. Test)
2.4. Choose Gets a tag trigger
2.5. Pick the tag you created previously (Test in this example)

3. Set up your drip campaign:
3.1. Click on the + mark
3.2. Choose Do this (action)
3.3. Choose send e-mail and pick an email from the drop-down menu (e.g. “Blog subscriptions – Thank you!_Automizy default”
3.4. Set the links as possible goals in the drop down menu of the pop-up
3.5. Hit Save
3.6. Click on the + mark again and pick Wait for
3.7. Set how long you want to wait (e.g. 1 minutes) and hit Save
3.8. You can build your drip campaign further if you want

STEP 2: Setup Mizy (our algorithm)

1. Set up B version of your email for testing:
1.1. Click on the Email sendig box you set up previously
1.2. Choose Send email on the left
1.3. Click “Create variations”
1.4. Click on the “B” box – It copies the “champion variant email”.
1.5. Click “Edit email variation” to change the B email variation
1.6. Now I will test subject line, therefore I change it – If you want to test other things, just change. You can test Sender name, Sender email, Subject line, Body Copy, CTAs, images, anything.
1.7. The tracked links should be the same for the variation as you set it in the main email.
1.8. Save and Exit

2. Set up your optimization goal for the drip:
2.1. Click on Conversion goal settings (Target icon)
2.2. Turn on Email Open tracking
2.3 If you want Mizy to stop your leads after your goal is reached (in this case opened your email), click on the box. It is good for drip campaigns with more email sending actions in it.
2.4. Save

3. Turn on Mizy:
3.1. Click on the + mark
3.2. Choose Automatic Optimization Settings
3.3. Activate AI
3.4. Select the goal type you set previously, in this example “Open an email”. It means Mizy (our algorithm) will optimize your drip campaign for higher open rate.
3.5. Save

4. Activate your drip campaign:
4.1. Click Save And Close
4.2. Activate the automation

STEP 3: Send traffic to the drip

1. How to gather contacts to Automizy database:
1.1. You can upload a CSV file with contact lists
1.2. You can use our Unbounce integration to collect contact information
1.2. You can use Automizy forms to make people subscribe too

2. How to send contacts to the drip:
A, Uploaded from csv:
2.A.1. If you put your contacts on a segment, you just have to go to the segment contact list, click on “Bulk Actions” and add the tag to everyone on the list that triggers your automation.

B, Form subscription or API-call:
3.A.1. If you use forms (or API-calls), you need to create a new workflow with the specific form trigger and add a Tagging action with a tag that triggers the previous automation.

Product Update: Enhanced Table Customization

Customizing your tables’ values (contacts, segments, drip campaigns, etc.) is a very important part of your work. Therefore we released an update that will facilitate your daily routines.

1. Inline Customization to save you time

In order to save you time you can change any values in the tables without leaving the actual page.

Just click on the field you want to edit, exactly on the text you want to modify. Now you are able to rewrite it and accept it if you click on the thick mark. You decline your edits by clicking on the “X” button.

2. Display Editing Options

User interfaces are good if you see only the options that are logical and available at the stage you are actually at. In addition, it’s great if it’s intuitive too.

You can do bigger editing than just changing names of emails, segments or values of custom fields. Click on the field after the name of the relevant value and a slider will appear with every options that are relevant for you:

In addition, you can see for example the delete button only if you check one or more records in your tables:

Product Update: Setup Segments according to Tags

You could always build ultra specific segments to send highly targeted emails. But now you can create segments based on contact tags!

Contact tags are great to track your leads’ and users’ journeys throughout your marketing and sales funnel. This is the reason we provide you this feature: you can add tags to contacts automatically (or manually) in our visual workflow editor. Or you can do the same according to the in-app activity of your users (API-calls).

But from now on you can set Contact Tags as criteria for your segments. So you can set up a segment for leads who e.g. downloaded a specific ebook (if you tag these contacts) or for users who e.g. used a specific feature in your software.

This enables you to setup segments according to your contacts’ stage in your funnel and helps you track your funnel!

How to guide:

  1. Create a new segment
  2. Select criteria: Behavior based data
  3. Select a behavior based field: Tag
  4. Select condition: has or has not a tag
  5. Choose the tag you want to be the criteria

You can add as many tags to a segment as you want.

Product Update: Segment Editor becomes Intuitive

Our segment editor gives you the opportunity to send highly targeted emails. But from now on, setting up your segments will be much easier!

If you enter the segment editor, you will have only 1 option: get started with 1 criteria and the whole segment creation will be a step-by-step, intuitive process.

Product Update: New User Interface for Enhanced Experience

Automizy gets a completely new user interface for enhanced usability and better experience.

Functionality is important but we know that marketers work with us every day and send millions of emails. Therefore it is very important to provide an interface that is intuitive and easy-to-use. And it’s always good if it looks good – we also would like to motivate you and give a nice place where you like to stay. Automizy is like a home for email marketing specialists.

New Feature: Bulk email and Automation Dashboards

We released a new feature, called Dashboards. Email marketing dashboards give you a high-end overview of your email marketing efforts. You can see your automated emails and bulk emails separately.

Automation Dashboard:

Automation Dashboard shows you how many automated emails are sent in the past 30 days, what is the percentage of your unique open, click and unsubscription rates in the given time period.

In addition, you can see how many contacts are generated in the past month each day.

The biggest chart gives you a summary of your email marketing KPIs: how many emails are sent and how many of it were opened and clicked – all-in-one information on a timeline.

Bulk Email Dashboard:

The bulk email dashboard shows you how many emails are sent manually in the past 1 month. You can see the overall unique open, click, unsubscription, bounce (soft or hard) rates.

In addition, you can see the overall deliverability of your emails: how high is the percentage of you delivered emails.

The table below the widgets give you the most recent bulk emails you sent – therefore you can immediately see you campaigns’ performance.

New Feature: WordPress Plugin

Connect your WordPress site easily with Automizy easily, without any coding skill.

We developed a WordPress plugin that can be installed easily to your WordPress site. This plugin inserts the tracking code to your website automatically to the right place.

As a result, you will be able to add Automizy forms to your web page or use the Autodetect feature that automatically connects your WordPress site’s forms with Automizy.

Steps to install plugin:

  1. Login to your WordPress site
  2. Search for Automizy plugin in the plugin manager
  3. Install it and log in with your Automizy username and password
  4. Detect your existing WordPress forms or insert Automizy forms into your web page!

New Integration: Unbounce

You can send contacts to Automizy in real-time if you use our integration with Unbounce.

Unbounce is an intuitive, easy-to-use landing page builder that allows you to setup web pages in minutes for lead generation purposes. You can ask for contact information with forms and send it to Automizy system immediately and automatically. Unbounce forms can trigger drip campaigns inside Automizy.

Steps to connect:

  1. Copy the Unbounce URL in Automizy
  2. Login to Unbounce and open the landing page you want to connect with Automizy
  3. Scroll down to “Basic Form Integrations” panel
  4. Click “Webhook: POST or URL” button
  5. Insert the script code to the popup window by hitting Ctrl+V (PC) or @+V (Mac)
  6. Go to the live landing page and subscribe (if you don’t do this Automizy won’t recognize the form)
